The month-over-month comparison is the part that does the most work. A raw spending number in isolation doesn't tell you much. "$2,400 this month" could be normal, could be high, could be low — you don't know without context. Showing it next to last month's number gives you the trend at a glance, which is the actual useful piece of information.
The budget pacing view is for people who've set spending limits in Origin — it shows where you are relative to the limit so you can see at a glance whether you're on track or whether you've got ten days left in the month and you're already close to the edge. The kind of thing that changes a decision without you having to run any mental math.
The Spending widget adapts to light and dark mode automatically, so it doesn't look terrible regardless of what you have your phone set to.

The Net Worth widget shows your current net worth balance and trend on your home screen, pulling from all your connected accounts — checking, savings, investments, loans, credit cards, everything Origin has access to. The same number you'd see in the app, now visible without opening anything.
