Summary: Origin's Net Worth home screen widget is now live on iOS and Android. Add it to your home screen and your current net worth balance and trend is right there — no app launch needed. It supports configurable timeframes and taps through into the full Origin experience when you want to go deeper. This one came straight from community feedback, so if you asked for it: you're welcome, and also thank you.
Back in January 2025, we launched spending widgets for iOS — a quick glance at what you'd spent this month, how it compared to last month, and whether you were pacing toward your budget limit. All without opening the app. Members loved it. The obvious follow-up question was immediate: great, but what about net worth?
Fair. We heard you. Net worth widgets are now live on iOS and Android.
Your net worth, on your home screen, updating automatically. That's the headline. Add the widget once, and you've got your full financial balance — assets minus liabilities across every connected account — visible every time you look at your phone. You can configure the timeframe to see how you're trending over different periods, and tapping the widget takes you straight into the full Origin experience when you want to dig deeper.
The widget works in both light and dark mode, because we're not animals.
This shipped on both iOS and Android, which means no more Android members watching the iOS announcements from the outside. You're in.

Spending widgets tell you what's going out. Net worth widgets tell you where you actually stand. They're answering different questions — and having both on your home screen means you've got the full picture at a glance rather than just one side of it.
The other thing: net worth is a number that's easy to lose track of because it doesn't send you push notifications and it doesn't feel as urgent as a credit card bill. But it's the number that tells you whether your financial life is actually moving in the right direction. Having it on your home screen is a low-effort way to stay oriented without having to think about it.
So now you don't even have to open the app to know where you stand. (But please still open the app. The AI Advisor has things to tell you.)
On iOS: Long-press your home screen until everything starts wiggling. Tap the "+" in the top left corner. Search for "Origin." Select the Net Worth widget. Done.
On Android: Long-press your home screen. Tap "Widgets." Find Origin. Add Net Worth. Also done.
The whole process takes about thirty seconds, which is less time than it takes to open the app and navigate to net worth manually. This was the point.
This update came directly from community requests — members in r/OriginFinancial asked for it, and members in the Android widgets beta flagged Net Worth as one of the most-wanted additions. It's nice when the thing people ask for is also a thing that makes the product better. This was one of those times.
