Can you share your name, where you’re based, what you do, and a little bit about yourself?
I’m Quynn Allsup. I live in Utah, I own a Crumbl location, and work full time in tech sales. I love to play sports and watch my kids play as well.
What money goals did you have when you first downloaded Origin?
I really wanted something that could do net worth tracking that didn’t suck! I’ve tried them all, and Origin blows the rest out of the water by far.
What’s your financial story? What motivated you to get serious about money, and where are you hoping to go from here?
My parents always owned their own businesses, so I grew up with a lot of ups and downs. This made me really want to be more intentional and forward thinking with my finances.
With the current market uncertainty, how are you feeling about your finances, and what helps you stay steady?
I feel decent about my finances now — but there’s always room for improvement. I think what helps me stay steady is continuing to read books and listen to people who actually know what they’re talking about. Not jumping in and out of single stocks, but staying the course and diversifying.
Tell us about a specific win — big or small — that Origin helped you achieve.
Origin helped me nail down my budget, and ultimately track my full net worth taking everything into consideration — from life insurance to my business valuation.
What advice would you give someone starting with Origin on their financial journey?
I think taking the time to actually load EVERYTHING in all at once. It takes time, and can be a bit tedious (not Origin’s fault in any way) but just do it!
