I’m Jessica, I live in Nashville, where I’m a support operations manager in health tech.
What money goals did you have when you first downloaded Origin?
I really just wanted to gain a better understanding on where my money goes and more of a sense of control over it.
What’s your financial story? What motivated you to get serious about money, and where are you hoping to go from here?
I went through a period of unemployment that lasted longer than I was prepared for. By the time I started working again, I was basically starting from zero in terms of savings. After getting back on my feet, my goal is to hold myself more accountable for sticking to a budget and start thinking longer-term.
With the current market ups and downs, how are you feeling about your finances, and what helps you stay steady?
Generally, I try not to get too wrapped up in how the market’s doing — mostly because I never did well in econ classes. I have to remind myself to focus on what’s in my control so that I don’t get too stressed out over it.

Overall, Origin has helped me achieve my goal of better understanding and feeling more in control of my finances. The AI budgeting tool has been a game changer, and having everything in one place has helped me begin to make smarter decisions.
What advice would you give someone starting their Origin journey?
